Kevin Cooney, Florida Atlantic University

Kevin Cooney is in his 18th season as head coach at Florida Atlantic University of the Atlantic Sun Conference and 22nd overall. A former pitching star at Montclair State, Cooney has led FAU to an average of 46 wins per season the past six years. He as guided the Blue Wave to a 273-106 record and five NCAA Regionals in the past six years. Ryan LaMotta, Baylor University

Ryan LaMotta is a junior pitcher at Baylor. He'll be reporting each week on the Bears and the Big 12 Conference.

Jon Mueller, University at Albany

Jon Mueller is entering his sixth season as head coach of the Great Danes. A year ago, Albany posted a program-best record of 37-14, including 14-7 in the America East Conference. Mueller, the 2004 America East Coach of the Year, will be checking in each week of the 2005 season.

Mike Trapani, Georgia Tech

Mike Trapani is in his fourth year in the Georgia Tech program. As a sophomore, he filled in at third base when teammate Wes Hodges was injured and batted .419 with four homers and 17 RBI in 79 at-bats on the season. In high school, Trapani went 25-2 as starting quarterback at Marist School in Atlanta. He'll be checking in each week with reports on Georgia Tech and the Atlantic Coast Conference.
