Arizona State Named CBI Team of the Week
   

Arizona State extended its win streak to 20 to be named CollegeBaseballInsider.com Team of the Week.

The second-ranked Sun Devils won a pair of mid-week games at Cal State Fullerton, 6-5 on Tuesday and 8-6 on Wednesday. ASU swept a three-game set from Houston over the weekend. The Sun Devils won 10-1 on Friday, 6-0 on Saturday and 6-5 on Sunday to raise their record to a perfect 20-0.

Honorable Mention goes to South Carolina, which also posted a 5-0 week. The Gamecocks won at Furman, defeated Davidson and swept a three-game SEC series from Tennessee. No. 5 LSU knocked off Nicholls State and took two of three from No. 14 Arkansas in SEC play. No. 12 UCLA swept a three-game set from Oral Roberts. Alabama took two from Minnesota and went 2-1 against No. 17 Vanderbilt in SEC action. Tulane got two wins over Kansas and three against Saint Mary’s. College of Charleston defeated No. 11 Coastal Carolina and topped Jacksonville before sweeping a three-game Southern Conference series at UNC Greensboro. UC Irvine defeated San Diego before taking three from Gonzaga. Saint Louis rebounded from a loss to Indiana State to defeat Evansville and take two from Kansas. No. 8 Florida beat Army and No. 6 Florida State before sweeping a three-game SEC series against Mississippi State. No. 19 Ole Miss topped Arkansas-Pine Bluff before taking two of three at Kentucky in SEC action. Michigan State won at Eastern Michigan before taking three at Notre Dame. Auburn took two from Alabama A&M before sweeping a three-game SEC set at Georgia. Bowling Green won three at Eastern Kentucky. Bethune-Cookman stopped Stetson before sweeping a three-game MEAC series at Florida A&M. VMI won twice at The Citadel before taking two of three against High Point in Big South play. Arizona took two from Wichita State before sweeping a three-game series from Sacramento State. Delaware had a 6-0 week with two wins over Delaware State and four against Fairleigh Dickinson. The Citadel rebounded from a pair of losses to VMI to sweep a Southern Conference series at Elon.
