16 Former Division I Players on World Series Rosters

There are 16 former Division I players among the 50 major leaguers listed on the World Series rosters, the lowest total in the past five years.

The San Francisco Giants have 10 former Division I players on their 25-man World Series roster, including former Texas standout Brandon Belt (pictured). The Kansas City Royals have six..

There are 15 Division I schools which have at least one alum in the World Series. Long Beach State is the only program with multiple players and it has two: Jason Vargas of the Royals and Matt Duffy of the Giants.

There are two schools which had players in each of the past three World Series: Florida State and Texas.

Here are links to lists divided by school and by Major League teams.
