Lineup Card is a feature highlighting notes from around college baseball.

April 16-30, 2012

Coastal Carolina right-hander Josh Conway will miss the rest of the 2012 campaign due to an elbow injury. The junior pitched four innings on April 26 at Liberty before exiting due to soreness. The preseason Big South Pitcher of the Year, Conway was 4-1 in nine starts with a 2.14 ERA. He struck out 50 and walked 18 in 54.2 innings.

Clemson right-handers Kevin Brady and Matt Campbell were both injured on April 27 at Georgia Tech. Friday starter Brady (1-2, 2.64, 11 G, 58 IP, 55 K, 22 BB, .227 OBA) stained a hamstring covering first and will miss 2-4 weeks. Reliever Campbell (1-2, 2 SV, 2.49, 13 G, 25.1 IP, 19 H, 11 BB, 29 K, .211 OBA) suffered a lat strain and is out indefinitely.

Tyler Sibley is now the career hits leader at Texas State. He had a double and a single on April 21 to bring his total to 261, passing the mark of 259 set a year ago by Bret Atwood. Sibley holds the career marks at Texas State for at-bats, hits, runs, total bases, doubles and steals. He could add triples, walks and games played before the season is complete.

Old Dominion senior Chris Baker hit a grand slam in the top of the 12th on April 20 at George Mason in a 5-1 Monarch win. It was his third grand slam of the season, a school record. Baker had slams on March 13 against VMI and on March 23 against Hofstra.

Georgia and Georgia Tech will meet on April 24 in the annual Kaufmann Tire Spring Baseball Classic for Kids at Turner Field. All proceeds will benefit Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The game begins at 7:05 p.m. and will be televised on Fox Sports South.
