Lineup Card is a feature highlighting notes from around
college baseball.

Baseball will remain at the University of
California, Berkeley. Fundraising efforts by alumni, former
players, parents of current players and additional supporters
have committed $9 million of the $10 million necessary to keep
the sport. Former Golden Bear pitcher Stu Gordon led the
fundraising efforts.

ESPU’s coverage of college baseball begins on
Thursday, April 7, with No. 3 South Carolina at Tennessee at
7:30 p.m. ET. The pregame show begins at 7 p.m. ET.
The opening game at TD Ameritrade Park Omaha, the
new home of the College World Series, will be a sellout. Tickets
for the April 19 contest between Creighton and Nebraska sold out
in less than a day. The game will be televised statewide on
NET-HD and on CBS Sports Network.
The College Baseball Foundation announced that
Dick Runchey will be the inaugural recipient of the National
Collegiate Umpire Award, honoring lifetime excellence in
umpiring. The award will be presented at the National College
Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on July 3.
