Meggs receives contract extension

Washington head coach Lindsay Meggs has received a three-year contract extension through the 2017 season.

Meggs originally signed a five-year deal before the start of the 2010 season and had two years remaining prior to the extension.

The Huskies went 30-25 this past season, their highest win total since 2008. They were 15-13 at home and 15-12 on the road. UW was 13-17 in Pac-12 competition.

Washington begins fall practice later this week and will hold its annual alumni weekend Sept. 28-29.
