Valli resigns at Temple

Temple coach Rob Valli and his staff have resigned Friday morning, according to several sources.

Valli, who guided the Owls to the a fourth-place finish in the Atlantic 10 in 2008, just completed his sixth season at Temple. The Owls went 4-20 in the Atlantic 10 but 24-29 overall.

Valli arrived at Temple from Gloucester County College (N.J.), where he was the national coach of the year in 2005 and led the school to the NJCAA World Series in each of his five years.
