2013 Coaching Changes

 

 

Mason Promoted to Head Coach at Virginia Tech

 

Patrick Mason has been promoted to head coach at Virginia Tech.

 

Mason has been with the Hokies for the past three seasons, including associate head coach this past season with former skipper Pete Hughes. Virginia Tech was 40-22 in 2013, including 15-14 in the ACC. The Hokies reached the championship game of the ACC Tournament and hosted a regional for the first time in program history.

 

Prior to his arrival in Blacksburg, Mason was an assistant at Northeastern from 2005-10. He worked at Boston College from 1998-2002.

 

Mason was a catcher at Northeastern from 1994-97.
