Marshall played at Texas A&M from 1989-92. He was the team’s Most Valuable Player as a senior, leading the Aggies with 61 games, 66 hits, 35 runs and 40 RBI.

Following his collegiate career, Marshall was taken in the 13th round of the 1992 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals. He played four seasons in the KC system.

Marshall became an assistant coach at McMurry following his professional career. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology from Texas A&M in 1996.
