Schlossnagle earns contract extension at TCU

TCU head coach Jim Schlossnagle recently signed a two-year contract extension through the 2018 season.

Schlossnagle is entering his 10th season as head coach of the Horned Frogs. He has posted a record of 388-175 (.689) at TCU and 465-222 (.677) in 11 seasons as a head coach. Schlossnagle has taken the Horned Frogs to the NCAA Tournament in each of his first nine years. This past season, TCU reached the NCAA Super Regionals for the third time in the past four years. The Horned Frogs have won at least 40 games for six straight seasons. In 2010, Schlossnagle led TCU to its first College World Series appearance.

Over the past nine years, TCU has had 38 players selected in the MLB Draft, 66 all-conference performers, 10 All-Americans and 11 Freshman All-Americans. Matt Purke was 2010 National Freshman of the Year, while Bryan Holaday was the Johnny Bench Award winner in 2010.

USA Baseball recently named Schlossnagle manager of the 2013 Collegiate National Team.
