Seifert steps down at Evansville

Evansville Director of Athletics John Stanley announced on Saturday that David Seifert has stepped down as head coach of the Purple Aces.

Seifert was an assistant for one year and has been head coach for the past two seasons. Seifert took over after former skipper Dave Schrage left to take the head position at Notre Dame. Seifert compiled a record of 49-65 in two seasons, including 14-42 in 2008.

The search for a successor begins immediately.
