Raleigh let go at Tennessee

Tennessee head coach Todd Raleigh has been fired at Tennessee.

Raleigh had one year remaining on his contract and will be paid more than $330,000 over the next 12 months.

The Volunteers were 25-29 this season with a 7-23 mark in the SEC. Tennessee did not reach the SEC or NCAA Tournaments during Raleigh’s four seasons. Its last SEC tourney appearance was in 2007 and last NCAA trip was in 2005.

Raleigh was 108-113 (.489) overall and 42-78 (.350) from 2008-11 at Tennessee. He was a successful coach at Western Carolina prior to his arrival in Knoxville, with a mark of 257-209 (.552) in eight seasons at his alma mater.

Tennessee will begin a national search immediately for its next coach.
