Jaksa inks new contract at Central Michigan

 

Central Michigan head coach Steve Jaksa has received a new four-year contract through the 2016 season.

 

Jaksa is in his 11th season as head coach of the Chippewas and owns a record of 328-254-1. He has led CMU to a pair of Mid-American Conference titles and four MAC West crowns. Jaksa has led his alma mater to seven 30-win seasons and twice his squads have won 20 conference contests.

 

This past season, Jaksa led the Chippewas to their third MAC championship appearance. CMU was 34-19 overall and 17-10 in the MAC.

 

Over the past 10 seasons, Jaksa has coached 33 All-MAC performers, including 12 first team selections. He has had six all-region picks, three All-Americans, three Freshman All-Americans and three Academic All-Americans.
