2012 Coaching Changes

Heather elevated to head coach at Bucknell

After eight years as an assistant coach, Scott Heather has been promoted to head coach at Bucknell. He succeeds Gene Depew, who retired following the 2012 season.

Heather served as pitching coach for the Bison, coaching 2011 Patriot League Pitcher of the Year Ryan Ebner. Heather helped Bucknell claim two Patriot League titles and a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances.

His collegiate career began at Arizona Western College, where Heather was MVP of the 1996 squad that was ranked third nationally. He pitched at Arkansas for two seasons and was a student assistant in 1999, when the Razorbacks won their first SEC championship. Heather pitched professionally for the Duluth Dukes of the Northern League in 1998.

Heather was an assistant coach at Arkansas-Fort Smith from 1999 to 2004 prior to his arrival at Bucknell.
