TULSA, Okla. - Texas might have one of the best -- if not the best -- pitching performances at the Big 12 Tournament.

But Oklahoma State pitcher Jon Perrin, fresh off getting the win in the Cowboys’ 5-1 victory against Oklahoma, doesn’t want people forgetting about him and his teammates.

"We're good. We're really good,” Perrin said. “This is exactly how we expect to pitch every time out. We work hard every single day at our flat grounds and our bullpens, and our catch play. We work extremely hard as a group from top to bottom.

“Every single guy out there can get outs and we have confidence with everybody that we throw out there. This is just the fruits of our labor I would say."

Perrin lasted six innings while allowing just one run on seven hits and a walk. Tyler Nurdin, Remey Reed and Koda Glover combined to pitch the final three innings without incident.

The Cowboys (37-17) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second inning thanks to a wild pitch and Bryan Case’s RBI groundout. Dustin Williams scored on the wild pitch after leading off the inning with a double, but he was nowhere near done with extra-base hits during the game.

In the sixth, Williams doubled to right-center and scored Donnie Walton; two innings later, he tripled to bring in Walton once more.

"Whenever Donnie is getting on base, as much as he does, it's really nice, it's protection because I know I'm going to get a pitch to hit because they know they can't afford to make mistakes,” Williams said. “I was just trying to square the ball up and let the guys behind me do their jobs at well."

Cowboys coach Josh Holliday wouldn’t tip his hat as to who he plans on throwing the first pitch at noon Sunday in the title game.

“We have a number of fresh arms,” Holliday said. “One of the strengths of this year's team is how many different guys have started games for us. We have good options and we have to some relief pitching that can bounce back and be used effectively tomorrow. We'll sit down, watch some videos and catch up on Texas."
