Wills pitches into eighth as Memphis blanks Ole Miss

Beeler belts two-run double in four-run fourth for the Tigers

 

In Memphis, Tenn., Michael Wills tossed 7.2 scoreless innings as Memphis blanked No. 19 Ole Miss 4-0 Monday in front of 2,103 fans at AutoZone Park. Wills (3-2) allowed four hits and one walk while striking out two. Jonathan Van Eaton retired the final four batters with one strikeout to register his eighth save. The Tigers (23-14) scored all their runs in the bottom of the fourth, capped by a two-run double off the bat of Bryce Beeler. Zach Willis had two hits and a run for Memphis. Auston Bousfield went 4 for 4, accounting for all but one of the hits for the Rebels (26-11).
