College Baseball Hall of Fame receives $5 million grant

 

The National College Baseball Hall of Fame has received a $5 million capital campaign grant from the Moody Foundation.

 

The Hall of Fame is based in Lubbock, Texas. The Moody Foundation is based in Galveston, Texas.

 

The campaign has now raised nearly $7 million, excluding the value of the land committed by the city of Lubbock. The campaign goal is $13 million, with $9 million for facility construction and a $4 million endowment.

 

The National College Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will preserve the artifacts and stories concerning the history of college baseball as well as providing educational opportunities for visitors. The Hall of Fame complex will also have a baseball field for youth tournaments and other amateur baseball events.
