Notes: Pulled out a ninth-inning win in the last game of the season against rival ASU to claim a share of the Pac-12 title along with UCLA. Led the Pac-12 in hitting with a .325 batting average and 390 runs. Arizona had seven players hit over .300 and four over .350. Arizona led the PAC-12 in complete games with 11. They will be hosting a regional this year after going to Texas A&M's regional last year. The Wildcats are making their third straight regional appearance and eighth in 11 years under Andy Lopez.

Notes: NMSU is making its third NCAA tourney appearance and first since 2003. The Aggies have faced seven NCAA Tournament teams this year and have posted a 12-10 record against them. NMSU is 1-3 all-time against Louisville. The teams are meeting for the first time since 1975. Missouri is 1-0 vs. the Aggies and Arizona has won 46 of 53 meetings with NMSU. Scott Coffman has 22 career saves, a program record. Tanner Waite has drawn 69 walks, shattering the former record of 59.

Notes: The Cardinals are making their fifth trip to the NCAA Tournament in six years under Dan McDonnell. He led Louisville to the College World Series in his first season in 2007. McDonnell also reached Omaha as a player at The Citadel in 1990. The Cardinals enter regional play having lost three of their past five games, including going 1-2 at the Big East Tournament. Junior right-hander Justin Amlung was named Big East Pitcher of the Year, while fellow hurler Jared Ruxer was named Big East Rookie of the Year. Amlung is the fourth Cardinal to be named Big East Pitcher of the Year in the past six seasons. Louisville batters have been plunked 108 times, including Nick Ratajczak with 25 and Ty Young with 20.

Notes: Missouri is making its eight NCAA appearance in the past 10 years and first since 2009. Those previous seven trips were as an at-large selection, while this year’s squad earned the Big 12 automatic bid by winning the conference tournament in its final year in the league. The Tigers are moving to the SEC for next season. Missouri is 0-3 all-time against Arizona, 1-2 vs. Louisville and 1-0 vs. New Mexico State. Head coach Tim Jamieson earned career win No. 600 in a 5-0 victory over Texas in the Big 12 Tournament. Shortstop Eric Garcia was named Most Outstanding Player of the tourney, batting .500 with five runs and three RBI as well as outstanding play in the field.
