Schedule finalized for 2012 MLB Urban Invitational

After playing in Southern California for the past three years, the 2012 Urban Invitational will take place in Houston during the opening weekend of the season.

Games on Friday, Feb. 17, and Sunday, Feb. 19, will be held at the Houston Astros MLB Urban Youth Academy at Sylvester Turner Park. Contests for Saturday, Feb. 18, will be played at Minute Maid Park, with the final two games being televised live on MLB Network and MLB.com.

HBCU’s Alabama State, Grambling State, Prairie View A&M, Southern and Texas Southern will join UC Irvine in the three-day event. Times below are Central.

Fri., Feb. 17, at Astros MLB Urban Youth Academy at Sylvester Turner Park
