Offense: Vanderbilt has the highest batting average among the eight CWS teams at .319, with Texas the lowest at .272. Florida shows the most power, with 67 home runs and a slugging percentage of .468. The Longhorns again trail with 17 dingers and a slugging percentage of .378. Virginia has scored the most runs with 456, while California has the lowest total at 324. Texas A&M is the most aggressive on the base paths with 107 steals, while South Carolina is the most conservative, with 39 thefts.

 

Pitching: Virginia has the lowest staff ERA at 2.26, just a bit lower that Texas at 2.27. North Carolina has the highest ERA at 3.26. Florida has the fewest walks, 121 in 598 innings. The Tar Heels have issued the most free passes, 215. The Cavaliers led the way with 626 strikeouts in 573 innings. The Golden Bears have the fewest punchouts, 454 in nearly 530 innings.

 

Fielding: As you might expect, all eight teams are solid in the field. Texas tops the octet with a fielding percentage of .982, followed by Virginia at .980. The lowest marks belong to South Carolina and Vanderbilt at .973.
