UW-La Crosse Looks to Save Baseball

First there was Vermont. Then Northern Iowa. As you may have heard, the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse's baseball program is on the chopping block.

As we read a great - but sad - piece from Graham Watson at ESPN.com <http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/print?id=4313320&type=story> about Northern Iowa's attempt to save baseball, UW-La Crosse was in the midst of a fundraising campaign to try to raise $50,000 by Sept. 1. According to Zach Thiel, an Eagles supporter hoping to help save the baseball program, the team is $18,000 short of its goal.
