Happy Birthday CollegeBaseballInsider.com!

Seven years ago, college baseball fans were lucky if they could find college baseball scores from around the country on the Internet.

With that in mind, CollegeBaseballInsider.com launched.

As we celebrate seven years of covering college baseball on the national level, a lot has changed. College baseball has continued to gain momentum. With it, there's more quality information out there. Instead of three or four sources of college baseball news, there now are more than 10. And each seems to have a niche.

What is our niche? We try to provide as much original content as possible on a daily basis. From scores (normally updated several times a day) and game recaps to player journals and features, we strive to cover all the bases.

Who are we? One of us is a former sports information director who has watched some 750 college baseball games over the past 20 years. The other is a former Division-I player who started more than 150 games. Beyond that, we're college baseball fans.

We started the site in 2002 as a hobby, a "labor of love" as we called it. Because so many appeared to love our labor, we kept at it. And we thank all the coaches, assistant coaches, sports information directors, players and fans who have supported us over the years.

Keep checking us out, and keep spreading the word.

And one more thing. Play Ball!
