Notes: The ACC Player of the Year Buster Posey can do it all for the Seminoles as the pitcher/cather with a .467 average and 19 home runs to go along with his six saves on the hill. He also became only the fourth Seminole in the Mike Martin era to play all nine positions during a game as he lined up in every postion in FSU’s May 12th defeat of Savannah State, marking the first time since 1994 that a Seminole had accomplished that feat. Freshman Tyler Holt, who has appeared in 58 games for FSU, ranks among the nation’s leaders in walks and on-base percentage and even more impressive has reached base in 55 of his 58 career games for the Seminoles.

Notes: Kevin O'Sullivan has the Gators back in the NCAAs for the first time since their run to the championship game in 2005 in this, his first season as a head coach. Florida's 104 stolen bases ranked 14th nationally entering the SEC Tournament. The Gators won their last six home games, including a pair against eventual SEC champ Georgia and a sweep of Vanderbilt.

Notes: Jason Buursma had an incredible Patriot League Tournament. He registered wins in relief in all four victories, two in the semifinal series at Army and two in the championship series at Navy. And he scored the winning run in the ninth in each of the two wins against the Midshipmen. Gene Depew was the defensive line coach for the Bucknell football team from 1972-92. He became an assistant baseball coach in 1974 and took over as head coach in 1981. Pitcher Will Carney is also the starting placekicker for the Bucknell football team. Major League Hall-of-Famer Christy Mathewson is an alumnus of Bucknell.
