Daniel Schlereth is the son of former NFL player and current ESPN analyst Mark Schleteth. UA has 16 regional titles. The Wildcats faced four Super Regional teams during the season and won each series (at Georgia, Cal State Fullerton, Stanford, Arizona State). Head coach Andy Lopez is one of three coaches in Division I history to lead three different schools to the College World Series (Pepperdine, Florida, Arizona). His 1992 Pepperdine squad won the national championship. UA has back-to-back 40-win seasons for the first time since 1985-86.
