Notes: Entering the SEC Tournament, LSU boasted the 22nd best staff in Division I. LSU romped through four games of the SEC Tournament without losing a game. The success in the SEC Tournament took the Tigers' winning streak to 20 games after their lackluster 23-16 start. LSU started 6-11-1 in the SEC before rampaging through the standing to earn the second seed at the SEC Tournament. Freshman star Matt Clark's 19 homers ranked 14th in the country entering the tournament and Clark crushed three more on the way to the Tigers' triumph.

Notes: The Golden Eagles finished strong, winning 10 of 13 Conference USA games, including a sweep of Houston. Tyler Conn was named to the mid-season watchlist for the NCBWA Stopper of the Year award and to the watchlist for the Dick Howser trophy. Conn's 18 saves were the most in Division I. Southern Miss is making its sixth consecutive NCAA tournament appearance.
