Notes: The Scarlet Knights tied for the regular-season title in the Big East, then went out and won the tourney. Long-time coach Fred Hill starred in three sports in college, earning 11 letters as a baseball, football and basketball star. He began his coaching career at Montclair State, and when he moved on, current Florida Atlantic coach Kevin Cooney took his spot. "There’s not a harder-working recruiter in America. When you factor in the lack of facilities and tradition at Rutgers, it was amazing to see the players he was able to produce,"  Cooney wrote about Hill this year in his ongoing journal for CollegeBaseballInsider.com. His brother, Brian, was the coach of the Orlando Magic, and son Fred coaches the Scarlet Knights' men's hoops team. Todd Frazier is one of the best all-around players in the country and surely a first-round pick in this year's draft. Frazier, the brother of former Rutgers star Jeff Frazier, slugged .762 this season and has 49 career homers and 65 stolen bases. Jon McCue turned into a fine mid-week starter and adds depth to a pretty solid pitching rotation.
