In Omaha, Neb., Dennis Raben homered and knocked in four as Miami (Fla.) thumped Oregon State in the final first-round game of the 2006 College World Series at Rosenblatt Stadium.

Raben’s two-run double in the top of the first gave the Hurricanes (42-22) the early lead. Tommy Giles smacked a bases-clearing double in the second for a 5-0 edge over the Beavers (44-15). Raben’s two-run shot in the fifth gave Miami a 7-0 advantage.
