The last time the Bison made the field, it lost to Miami (Fla.) 14-6 and Stetson 7-0. Kevin Miller was named the Patriot League’s pitcher of the year, and Phil Futrick was the league’s rookie of the year. Coach Gene Depew was the league’s coach of the year for the third time in 10 seasons. He served as an assistant football coach from 1972-92 at Bucknell, and his teams have won an average of 22 games since 1993. This year’s squad is four wins shy of the school record.
