Staff Openings

 

 

Coaches and prospective coaches have asked us in the past to have a page to advertise staff openings. We will include full-time assistants, volunteer assistants, graduate assistants and directors of operations. We will include all levels of college baseball for these openings, whether Division I, II, or III, NAIA, junior college or community college. Licking County Settlers: Great Lakes League team has an opening for an assistant baseball coach. This is a great opportunity to gain coaching experience in all aspects of the game. Located in Newark, Ohio, the Settlers will provide housing and a competitive stipend. All interested applicants need to email head coach Devin McIntosh at devinmcintosh25@gmail.com.

 

MacMurray College: Assistant coach, NCAA Division III institution, part of the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC), was founded in 1846 and a four-year career-oriented liberal arts college located in Jacksonville, Illinois. College has a culturally diverse student body of approximately 600, and a faculty/student ratio of 1:12. The College offers 35 academic programs with top majors in Education, Nursing, Interpreter Training (American Sign Language), Criminal Justice and Business.

MacMurray College invites applications for the part-time position of Assistant Baseball Coach Coach for the 2012 season. A bachelor’s degree is required for the position.  The ideal candidate will have the knowledge to develop the program in various aspects of team development.

General Duties and Responsibilities: To support baseball program and head coach by assisting with coaching, recruiting, travel, and field maintenance responsibilities.

Requirements / Qualifications: Must have coaching experience at either the college, club, or high school level. Must have a flexible schedule and a valid driver’s license. Must have a clear commitment to working in an undergraduate liberal arts environment and at an NCAA Division III institution

Chillicothe Mudcats: M.I.N.K. Summer League team has openings for two positions. Preferably candidates need experience in infield and/or hitting. Duties will include but not limited to working with DI, DII and/or DIII position players and throw BP on a daily basis. There will be some recruiting involved throughout the year. Bellarmine: DII University in the GLVC has an opening for a Volunteer Assistant Coaching Position to be filled immediately. Candidates need experience in pitching or catching. Duties include working with pitchers or catchers, office work, monitor study tables. This is a great opportunity to get a start in college baseball. Fairleigh Dickinson: NCAA Division 1 institution and member of the Northeast Conference, is looking for an assistant coach. This coach will handle primarily working with catchers and infielders. Responsibilities will also include throwing batting practice, assisting the head coach with various paperwork, planning practices, budgeting, and coaching the lines. The candidate must also have a clean license to drive vans when necessary (not often). Weekends are a must, and the ability to be at practices by 2 pm is preferred. Shippensburg: DII, Volunteer job. Looking for someone to work with outfielders, assist with hitters, and coach first base. Candidate should be able to throw BP and be knowledgeable in strength training. Please send resume and references to head coach Matt Jones at msjones@ship.edu.

 

Fairleigh Dickinson: NCAA Division 1 institution, looking for a volunteer coach. This coach will handle bullpen responsibilities as well as pitching drills, etc. The candidate must also have the ability to throw BP and must have a clean license to drive vans (not done often). Creighton: Volunteer Baseball Coaching Position. The position will be responsible for working with catchers, coaching first base on game days and helping members of the coaching staff in the day-to-day running of a Division I program. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Experience with college baseball both as a player and as a coach. Starting date will be August 22.

 

The College of New Jersey:  NCAA Division III - opening for an assistant pitching coach to start immediately. Field maintenance, fundraising and other responsibilities as assigned by head coach. There is a small stipend and chance to make additional income on campus. Must have four-year degree and college pitching is a must.  Please email resume and at least three references to head coach Dean Glus at dglus@tcnj.edu.

 

Delaware State: NCAA Division I - opening for the second assistant coach position to start immediately. This position will be responsible for hitters, defense and recruiting. Other responsibilities will include assisting the head coach with all aspects of the baseball program. This is a non-paid position. Bowling Green: NCAA Division I - Volunteer Job Opening. Required - Bachelor's degree: strong oral and written communications skills. Highly motivated, with a capacity for hard work. Following the policies and guidelines set within the context of the BGSU Athletic Department and BGSU Baseball Program. Skills to interact with the student-athletes, parents, alumni, coaches and administration. Playing experience at the collegiate level and coaching experience at the Division I level preferred. Ball State: NCAA Division I - has an opening for a volunteer assistant coach to start immediately. Ideal applicants will have four-year degree and collegiate playing experience or higher. The person hired will be heavily involved with all facets of the program. Responsibilities include assisting coaching staff in all aspects of the baseball program, including camp coordination, administrative duties, field maintenance, on-campus recruiting and daily practice instruction. Applicants must be available for all practices and team travel. Belmont Abbey (N.C.): NCAA Division II - has an opening for a volunteer assistant coach to start immediately. Catching background is helpful but not necessarily required. Ideal applicants will have four-year degree and collegiate playing experience. Experience coaching would be helpful but not necessary. The person hired will be heavily involved with all facets of the program. Responsibilities include help run the JV program, assisting coaching staff in all other aspects of the baseball program, including camp coordination, administrative duties, and field maintenance. Eastern Illinois: NCAA Division I - has an opening for a volunteer assistant coach. This is truly a "volunteer" position although some income may be possible through successful implementation of camps and private lessons. It is a great way for a young coach to get a foot in the door of college baseball! The person hired will be heavily involved with all facets of the program. Responsibilities include assisting coaching staff in all aspects of the baseball program, including camp coordination, administrative duties, team travel, practice organization and field maintenance. Austin Peay: NCAA Division I - has an opening for a volunteer assistant coach to start immediately. Catching background is helpful but not necessarily required. The person hired will be heavily involved with all facets of the program. Savannah State: Volunteer assistant coach for 2011-12 academic year. Ideal applicants will have a four-year degree, collegiate playing experience, minimum of two years' experience coaching baseball, with an emphasis on outfield play.
