Staff Openings

 

 

Coaches and prospective coaches have asked us in the past to have a page to advertise staff openings. We will include full-time assistants, volunteer assistants, graduate assistants and directors of operations. We will include all levels of college baseball for these openings, whether Division I, II, or III, NAIA, junior college or community college. Please email announcements to staff@collegebaseballinsider.com and we will post as quickly as we can. Please include contact information and deadlines, when applicable.

 

Middle Georgia State College: Currently accepting applications for an assistant coaching position. This position has a monthly stipend, free housing and meals (benefits not included). There is potential for the position to become full-time. Duties for this position include but not limited to pitching coach, recruiting coordinator, extensive on & off campus recruiting, conditioning, assisting with fundraising events, and field & equipment maintenance. NJIT: Currently accepting applications to fill the position of volunteer assistant coach.  This is a non-paid volunteer position. This position affords the opportunity to gain valuable coaching experience. Primary role will be coaching and assisting with the catchers as well as all other areas of the game. Other duties included but are not limited to: throwing batting practice, practice and game preparation, administrative tasks, along with on field practice and game responsibilities as assigned. Texas Southern: welcoming applications for the full-time, 12-month position of Assistant Baseball Coach in the 2014-2015 academic year.  The candidate must have a strong work ethic, detail oriented with strong time management and organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively.  Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the TSU Head Coach with planning the coaching and practice plans, recruitment and retention of quality student athletes, monitor student athletes academic progress, monitor and maintain the discipline and conduct of student athletes, develop fundraising techniques, promote and ensure the success of the TSU baseball program while complying with TSU, Southwestern Athletic Conference and NCAA Division I rules and regulations. The applicant will be required to cover all aspects of recruiting, limited field maintenance, on-campus visits. Recruiting will consist of managing recruiting efforts, including recruiting database (ACS), scheduling campus visits, emails and phone calls. Applicant’s area(s) of coaching expertise will be utilized within the needs of the coaching staff. Bachelor’s Degree required; previous playing experience, scouting, recruiting and coaching experience at the collegiate level preferred. Additionally qualified applicants should be, and having a solid understanding of the NCAA Division I is ideal. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of the game of baseball, including instruction of skills and game strategies.  Must be able to travel and work evenings and weekends as required. Alma College: NCAA Division III, MIAA conference. Currently accepting applications to fill the position of Pitching Coach. This is a stipend position. Duties for this position include but are not limited to: Implementing, conducting, and supervising pre, in, and off season pitchers programs and practices, small groups, and strength and conditioning, under the supervision of the Head Coach. Texas A&M University – Kingsville: an NCAA II member of the Lone Star Conference, is seeking applicants for a graduate assistant pitching coach.

Dordt College: searching for an individual who is passionate and knowledgeable about the game of baseball to assist the head coach with duties related to the baseball program. 

Graduate Student Assistant Coach (Approx. 750-1000 hours)

This individual will assist in all aspects of coaching including assisting with recruitment efforts, throwing batting practice and coaching the JV team. Admission to the Dordt College Master of Education program is required, which includes an undergraduate degree in education. This position affords the candidate the opportunity to gain valuable coaching experience and earn a Master’s degree in Education.
