Staff Openings

 

 

Coaches and prospective coaches have asked us in the past to have a page to advertise staff openings. We will include full-time assistants, volunteer assistants, graduate assistants and directors of operations. We will include all levels of college baseball for these openings, whether Division I, II, or III, NAIA, junior college or community college. SIU Edwardsville: Graduate assistant.

JOB DESCRIPTION: The candidate will assist in all areas of operation for the Baseball program. Reports to the Head coach and Director of Athletic and must subscribe to the SIUE Principles Governing Athletics. This position is a countable coach position.

      1.       Support goals and objectives if the Athletics Program.

      2.       Assist the Head Coach with organization of practices, recruitment, team travel, fund raising, and any other area of responsibility as directed by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics.

      3.       Assist with on-field coaching duties and recruiting. 

      4.       Comply with University, Conference, and NCAA Division I rules and regulations. 

      5.       Work cooperatively and responsibly with other departmental personnel.

      6.       Support the student-athlete concept and demonstrate concern for the health, safety, and welfare of each student-athlete.  

      7.       Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree required.  Acceptance into SIUE Graduate School.  Evidence of sound organizational skills.  Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, colleagues, and the public.  Coaching and/or playing experience at DI collegiate level preferred. 

PERIOD OF APPOINTMENT:  10 month appointment beginning August 12, 2013.

SALARY:  $896 per month stipend. Includes graduate tuition waiver.

Siena College: seeking applicants for a volunteer coaching position on the staff. The job responsibilities include: assisting the baseball staff with duties including, but not limited to, training, practice, fundraising, field work, team travel, and games. Individual must have an ability to manage administrative tasks relating to the above. There will also be other duties as assigned by the Head Coach. Interested candidates must have strong communication skills and ability to coach in a highly competitive environment while adhering to NCAA Division I, Metro Atlantic Athletic and college policies and guidelines. Individual will be expected to work compatibly and cooperatively with staff, Athletics Department and College personnel, and the community. Must also have the ability to analyze, interpret, communicate and adhere to college, and NCAA policies and procedures. Additionally, computer literacy with common office applications such as Word, Excel and data software are required and social media skills (Facebook, Twitter) are preferred. DeSales University: Graduate Assistant.

Job Description: The Graduate Assistant will be responsible for the management and development of the pitching staff. This coach will conduct workouts using an organized plan and motivate pitchers to facilitate their athletic development. He will accumulate data and submit reports detailing pitching efficiency. He will assist in the recruitment of student-athletes. He will participate in the organization and execution of camps and clinics. The Graduate Assistant will strive to work in compliance with all NCAA and conference guidelines.
Qualification: A bachelor’s degree is required and the candidate must be accepted into one of DeSales University’s graduate programs. The candidate must have played intercollegiate baseball and/or professional baseball. The graduate assistant should also display a desire to pursue coaching as a career.

Compensation/Benefits: Stipend plus campus meal plan and waiver of graduate school tuition is available.

Alma College: Assistant Coach. Responsible for providing coaching and administrative assistance to the Head Coach. Emphasis on infielders, but open to other positional coach as well to assist with hitters. Must be able to throw batting practice. Assist with scouting and recruitment of student-athletes. Monitor academic progress and eligibility status of student-athletes.  Assists with game planning and strategy. Assists with fund-raising.
