Staff Openings

 

 

Coaches and prospective coaches have asked us in the past to have a page to advertise staff openings. We will include full-time assistants, volunteer assistants, graduate assistants and directors of operations. We will include all levels of college baseball for these openings, whether Division I, II, or III, NAIA, junior college or community college. Please email announcements to staff@collegebaseballinsider.com and we will post as quickly as we can. Please include contact information and deadlines, when applicable.

 

Liberal Bee Jays: looking for an Assistant Coach for the Summer of 2015. Responsibilities will include throwing batting practice, coaching first base, assisting in game management. There is a $2,000 stipend, meal money during travel and housing is included. Other responsibilities include camp organization/management and monitoring the weight room. Grand Lake Mariners: Position of Assistant Coach available for the 2015 summer. Grand Lake is one of twelve teams in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League. A $1,200 stipend, camp money and housing are provided.  One year of coaching at the college level is required. New Mexico Collegiate Baseball League (NMCBL), an NBC (National Baseball Congress) sanctioned college summer organization located in Albuquerque New Mexico, is looking for a Head Baseball Coach for the 2015 summer season. The ideal candidate will have coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level, be willing to live on location and be active in the community. Job responsibilities include assisting in the daily functions of a college summer baseball team. At least one year of college coaching experience required. Haysville Aviators: 2015 Internship Program. Housing is sole responsibility of the intern. The Haysville Aviators are a summer collegiate baseball team and participate in the Jayhawk Baseball League of Kansas. Marketing Assistant- (3 positions)

Start Date: January 15, 2015

Pay: 25% of all sponsorships

Responsibilities: Working under the direction of the team's General Manager, intern will be involved in all aspects of marketing and sales. Jobs include marketing and publicity, brand awareness, social media, sales of sponsorships, signage, game-day sponsorships, fundraising, and promotional schedules. Interns will have direct responsibility for their assigned area and will meet once a week with the General Manager to discuss progress and problem areas. The interns gain valuable experience in marking and sales aspects of running a successful collegiate summer wooden bat baseball team.

Jobs include marketing and publicity; food and concession stand operations, maintenance of field and property, patron liaison services, game day promotions party management, and customer services. The interns will have direct responsibility for their assigned area each home game and will meet once a week with the General Manager to discuss progress and problem areas. The interns gain valuable experience in all aspects of running a successful collegiate summer wooden bat baseball team.

Fordham: NCAA member of the Atlantic 10 Conference is currently accepting applications to fill the position of volunteer assistant coach at the earliest appointment.  This is a non-paid volunteer position. Primary role in this position requires coaching the outfield and assisting in all areas of the offensive game. Other duties include but are not limited to: practice planning, camp responsibilities, on campus recruiting, administrative tasks, leadership in student assistants and managers, along with on field practice and game responsibilities as assigned. Candidate must have a strong work ethic, demonstrated organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively. Candidate must also have a car, secure housing, and be available on a daily basis. AACBL - The All American Collegiate Baseball League is seeking a head coach for the 2015 Summer season.  The AACBL is a premier wood bat summer league located in Statesville, NC.  The league plays a 50-game schedule beginning at the end of May and ends the last week of July.  The pay is between $2000 and $2500 depending on experience.  The opportunity to earn extra for recruiting is available.  Please send resume to: Dawn Lowe at dawn.lowe@hotmail.com. Campbellsville: NAIA member of the Mid-South Conference is currently accepting resumes to fill the position of volunteer assistant  Baseball coach.  Primary role in this position would be Head JV Baseball Coach and also assisting in all areas of the Varsity program.  Duties for this position include, but are limited to: JV Scheduling, travel, inventory, practice, game management and assisting Varsity in all phases.  This position will be a great opportunity for someone looking to break into coaching collegiate baseball.  There will be no stipend for this position; however, money may be available through camps and lessons.  It will be acceptable for the individual hired for this position to leave and coach summer baseball elsewhere.   Please send a resume with references listed to Assistant Baseball Coach Brad Neffendorf at bjneffendorf@campbellsville.edu. Kokomo: Inviting applications for assistant coach and pitching coach for a new college summer baseball team out of Kokomo, Indiana, that is entering the Prospect League. The Prospect League is a college summer baseball league in the Midwest that stretches from as far west as Hannibal, Missouri, to as far east as Butler, Pennsylvania. The league plays a 60-game schedule that begins after Memorial Day and ends after the first week in August. Pay is between $3,000-$3,500 for the summer. Job responsibilities include assisting in the daily functions of a college summer baseball team. At least one year of college coaching experience required. Haysville Avaitors: Hitting Coach for Jayhawk League squad, $1,000 stipend, food & housing fully provided. Will manage the hitters on a daily basis and work with them to improve their skills. Will coach either 1st or 3rd base during the game. Ability to work with OFs is preferred. One year of coaching at the college level is required.
