Associate head coach David Grewe has resigned at LSU. The pitching coach and recruiting coordinator for the past three seasons, Grewe plans to pursue other career opportunities. Grewe was head coach at Michigan State from 2006-08 before heading to Baton Rouge to reunite with Paul Mainieri, which whom he worked at Notre Dame. The Tigers were 36-20 this season and 13-17 in the SEC. LSU missed both the SEC and NCAA tournaments. The Tigers won the national championship in 2009, Grewe’s first season at LSU. Mainieri has begun the search for a replacement.
